On Monday, the state of Iowa will be holding a caucus in order to see which candidate is the most popular in that state. In the primaries, Iowa is seen as a critical state to win. This is because Iowa is the first state in each election cycle to hold elections on who will be the nominee for a party. Whichever candidate will win Iowa will appear as if they are running a strong campaign and this will benefit them when elections for other states are held later on.
